so i was pretty bummed for missing the whole harley thing because everyone, and i mean EVERYONEEE rejected me. e.g. exam week coming, event to attend to, exam the next day, in camp, NOT HIS KINDA THING. wts man. and i was feeling really down and all. it was the opening of the harley shop in MBS, and harley owners were gathering and arriving at MBS in HARLEY STYLE! (didnt exactly know what that was all about, but figured if they were gathering, then it’ll probably be like some massive ride through or smth). and ironically, there werent any motorcycle parking lots in MBS. but GRAND OPENING, they had parking lots opened for harleys! so woahh. big event.
wanted to just go and catch a glimpse of it. FREE HARLEY SHOW! CMONNNN! and of cos frustrated that no one shared the same level of excitement as i did, and no one wanted to join me. and also the fact that i wasnt in “that” kinda mood to go alone. so i was like URHHHH. i’m gna miss it… oh well…. that’s what you get for not mingling with people, enough. see, no friends…
so i ended work, 6ish, went to get my bike, rode off, almost skidded when riding off, but nothing much happened. thinking i should pump my tyres since it’s been a while. so went against the going home route, to a nearby petrol kiosk. but otw there, whenever i moved off from every junction, it felt like i was losing control of my bike, and it was kinda slippery. also, i could smell petrol, but it was only when i was moving off. (smelling petrol was kinda the norm, what with being “open” to the surroundings) so the 1st thought was. holy shit, i really need to pump my tyres they’re so slippery! but then, just before the turning into the rd that leads to the petrol station, i stopped, and HOLY SHIT, petrol was spilling out of my bike! like from the back! and i was like WTFFFF. WHAT’S HAPPENING!?! so quickly went to the petrol station.
still under the assumption that it was the tyres, i went to the air pumping station. stopped, and while on main stand, i saw the petrol just pouring out! like CRAZYYY. and as usual, i panicked! hahha. perspiration falling down my forehead… so i pushed it to the wax/polish area, and asked if anyone could help me. and THEY WERE NOT MECHANICS, MECHANICS LEFT WORK ALREADY! so panicked again, asked if anyone of them can just help me check it out, and they did! awww. nice uncles! hhahah. found out fuel pipe had some problems. called john the piaggio guy, who sold me the bike. asked for the bikebulance no. (that’s what it’s called, bike ambulance, bikebulance) but then decided if i was gna send it to alex, i should call alex up (alex, ubi workshop uncle). so called him, said he was off work already, gave me another no, so i called that dude, and told him my whereabouts. then called dad and mom to tell them since i msged to say i was otw home. HHAHA. dad said to wait there until the tow dude came, donny, who said he would take an hour. so okay i did and dad decided to come down to pick me up later. okay…
so i was waiting by my bike, and that was 7ish already. wax uncle was still waiting for his client so we were chatting and all. hahhaha. i like talking to random uncles. they’re so harmless and they look at me as a kid, and they treat me like one too. AWWW. i’m 20 btw… so anw, we were talking and the harley event was gathering at 7 at the HQ, alexandra rd, then ride through sg all the way to MBS, which would mean arriving at 8.
i was at havelock rd, and WTFFFF I HEARD THE DEAFENING ROARING OF THE ENGINE! so whipped my head ard and WTFFFF HARLEYS, A GAZILLION OF THEM, STARTED GOING THROUGH THE RD RIGHT AT HAVELOCK ROAD! THERE WERE MORE THAN 50, AT LEAST A HUNDRED! I AM NOT KIDDING. DID NOT KNOW THERE WERE SO MANY HARLEY RIDERS IN SG!
so i was in awe. this was definitely a blessing in disguise. staring at all of them, even if they were on the opp side of the rd. ahhh my dream bike. although it’ll be a while before i’d actually own one. but ohhh. that was like a freaking orgasm! shortness of breath, dilating of the irises, squealing! (i dont really know what an orgasm sounds/feel like, but these are wild guesses!) and OMGG. I SRSLY SHIT IN MY PANTS. hahahahahha.
so glad i got my wish. even though it cost me 75 bucks! (towing + ERP charges, fuel pipe changes, labour fees) hahaha. then dad with mom came to pick me up, we went to great world, and after dinner, we walked ard, and JOHN THE PIAGGIO GUY MSGED ME! telling me mantou very nice to eat, when i was at the mantou place! SHIT IN MY PANTS AGAIN. hahahhaha. called him and found out he was at great world too! and he was at ben and jerry’s when i was just across from him buying mantou! hahahha. so we were smiling and making eye contact to each other, WHILE TALKING ON THE PHONE. wtf. hahahha. damn weird.
and then since we were in town area, we decided to go to little india, as the deepavali lights were up and lit already. so went there, walked through, the street markets, i have never been so fascinated by all the clothes and food, and lights and scents, and colors and all that they were selling there! (had a soft spot for indians when i was really young. wanted to be one because they were multitalented! e.g. sing, dance, act! WAS NOT EXPOSED TO MUSICALS THANKS.) anw. yeah, wanted to be an indian for a period of time…… hahhahaha.
so yeap! that concludes the day! omfg. i cant believe all the turn of events. at how everything happens for a reason. how everyone rejected me, and yet i was still able to watch the ride through, with great company! (the random wax uncle- 50 odd 60 yrs old, with a 28 yr old son…)
so freaking grateful you have no idea. hahahha. thank you. whoever’s up there. i really appreciate it :,D (i mean it from the bottom of my heart) (well, you would know! :,DDDDDDDD)
